DIG-FARMINGTON K-12 SCHOLASTIC CHESS TOURNAMENT

DIVISIONS:

  • Elementary (PreK-5th grade)
  • Middle School (6th-8th grade)
  • High School (9th-12th grade)

TIME/LOCATION:

  • SaturdayJan 7th
  • Farmington Library,
  • 6 Monteith Drive, Farmington, CT, 06032

SCHEDULE:

  • 9-10:00am-Lesson with a Chess Expert/Master
  • 10:30-4:30pm-Tournament with Lunch break in-between
  • 4:30pm-Award Ceremony

TIME CONTROL:

  • G/25;d5  (25 mins per player with a 5 second delay)

ROUND TIMES:

  • 5 Rounds Swiss Pairing
    • Everyone plays 5 rounds. No elimination

PRIZES:

  • Trophies to Top 3 in each section
  • All participants will earn a DIG sticker as a consolation prize.
