DCA Somerset QUADS November 1st (revised time control G/45 d/5)

USCF Rated QUADS Open to All RATING LEVELS and ALL AGES

Unrated, beginners, intermediate, advanced, experts, and masters  EVERYONE is welcome.

Date -  Sunday, November 1st, 2026

Location - Knights of Columbus, Somerville (495 E Main St, Somerville, 08876)

Format - Quads/Round Robin (small Swiss depending on the number of participants)

***In the Quad format, participants will be grouped into four-player divisions based on their USCF rating. Each player will have the opportunity to play three games against all other members in their group, ensuring a balanced and competitive experience!***

Rounds - 3 rounds (1st round starts at 1.30pm and ASAP)

Time control - G/45; d5 for quads over 1000 average rating, 
                         G/30; d5 for quads below 1000 average rating

***CHESS SETS AND CLOCKS WILL BE PROVIDED***

Prizes - 1st place of each Quad- $80 (prize will be split if there is a tie)        

Registration Fee - $40 (An additional $5 fee applies to registrations received after 10:00 AM on tournament day and to walk-in registrations)  

Online will be closed at 1pm tournament day - registrations after 10am the tournament day are subjected to an additional $5 fee

In-person will be closed 1.15pm tournament day (Players who wish to register in person may avoid the additional fee $5 by confirming their attendance with the Tournament Director before 10:00 AM on tournament day via email at Click here to show mail address or by text/WhatsApp at 646-238-5213.)

Players may use the following discount codes towards Registration fee based on their current USCF Regular Rating (Optional)

• for players rated 1000+ - OVER1000
• for players rated 1400+ - OVER1400
• for players rated 1800+ - OVER1800

Important:

This tournament is OPEN TO ALL RATING LEVELS, including unrated players. These codes are only optional discounts, not eligibility requirements. If a player’s rating changes before the event, they must pay or receive the difference.
