Open Section Prizes ($500 b/25) 1st - $200, 2nd - $75, 3rd - $50, U1600: $100, U1400: $75

4-Round Swiss, G/45;d5

Schedule: Round 1 @ 10:00am. Rounds 2, 3 and 4 as soon as possible. 

Entry Fees: $35 (Please pay at the door.)

A US Chess Federation (USCF) rated scholastic tournament for K-12th grade players!

IMPORTANT - ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST BE CURRENT MEMBERS OF THE USCF!

Scholastic Sections – K-1 Open, K-1 U400, K-3 Open, K-3 U600, K-5 Open, K-5 U600,

                                      K-8 Open, K-8 U600, K-12 Open, K-12 U800

Awards      Individual 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place trophy for each section. Top team trophy for each open section. (Team = 4 players from same school.) No club teams are eligible for team trophies, school teams only. Top girl trophy for each section!

4 – SS, G/45;d5

4 rounds (games), Swiss System (everyone plays 4 games).

Entry Fees: Supporter - $40 Comparable with entry fees in Maryland and Virginia and enables you to contribute to DC State Chess Federation’s mission of ensuring chess access and opportunities to all.

Access rate - $5 If the standard fee is a barrier to participation, a contribution of $5 (or whatever is affordable) will reserve your seat in the tournament.
