Event Overview
A. Schedule & Location
- Friday, May 30 at 7pm (There will be two this month: a Tuesday one on 5/13 and a Friday one on 5/30). Players are welcome to register for either one or both.
- First Round: 7:00 pm and consecutive rounds are on a rolling schedule.
- Location: ChessPalace 6803 International Ave. Unit 206 Cypress, CA 90630 - Free parking
B. Tournament Format
- Swiss System format
- 5 rounds of double games. Each round, players will play TWO games against the same opponent, alternating colors
- Time Control: G/5+0 (Game in 5 minutes with no delay or increment.)
- Games will be US Chess blitz rated.
- One Open section
- Maximum one half-point bye allowed
C. Registration
- Entry Fee: $15 advance registration ($30 onsite); Free for chess club members
- $5 admin fee for cancellations & refunds.

D. Other Info
- Award: 1st place finisher earns a Trophy and a Complimentary entry to another monthly Blitz tournament at your convenience
- Players must have an active US Chess Federation membership.
- Players are encouraged to bring their tournament-regulation-size set and clock.
