THE CHESS RUN WEDNESDAYS !!

THE CHESS RUN WEDNESDAYS is a month-long tournament with one US Chess-rated game every Wednesday.  The tournament is an excellent opportunity for players of all ages and skill levels to participate in weekly rated practice. With classical time controls, players can take their time to think more thoroughly about their moves and strengthen their calculation skills.

Details:

• Schedule:  Doors open at 630pm - Rounds start weekly at 7 pm; casual speed games after tournament games is common.
• Format: 1 round per week. Games are submitted for rating at the end of the month; 4 rounds/month (5 rounds in some months)
• Time Control: G60/d5
• Sections: one open section
• Players must have an active US Chess membership. Player can also sign up or renew their US Chess membership onsite
• Players must know how to use the clock and record the moves with chess notation
• Chess Boards, Chess Clocks & score sheets provided 

Casual play is available, official speed tournaments held bi-monthly.
