Chess Queen Rapids

   Overview: 

• Chess Queen Rapids is a monthly US Chess Rated Tournament.

   Participants must be members of US Chess Federation.

   Four sections available for USCF Rated: U800, U1300, Open and Nonrated Sections.

  Open Section : Adults and Kids - rating above U1300 

  Scholastic Sections: U800 and U1300 are only for Kids.

  Nonrated Sections are for Adults and Kids with Non USCF.

  This is a USCF Rated Tournament. 

  Challenge Stronger Players: A great opportunity to compete with higher-rated players.

  Players Pairing: Matched by USCF rating and follow the Swiss system.

  Enjoy the day full of Chess with professional players at an affordable cost.

  Convenient location in Charlotte. 

      Format: 

• 3 Rounds for each Section and Time Control : G30;d5 format
• Schedule :
  • Round 1: 3 PM EST
  • Round 2: Starts ASAP after Round 1
  • Round 3: Starts ASAP after Round 2
  • End Time: Approximately 6 PM
• Players with no USCF ID will play in Nonrated section.
• Kids having USCF id but unrated will play U800.
• Chess Sets will be provided. Please bring chess clocks if you can.
• US Chess live ratings used for players having USCF ID.

  Prizes: 

• Top 3 Winners in each Section U800, U1300 and Open will get trophies.

• Top 5 winners in Nonrated Section will get medals.

  Entry: 

  Entry fees : $20 per player.

  Paid entries are only confirmed.

  Registration closes on 22nd February, evening 10 pm EST.
