Section Details (Open): USCF Quick rated, G/30; 5 delay, 5-round Swiss

Round Times: Round 1 – 12:00 PM; Round 2 – 1:15 PM; Round 3 – 2:30 PM; Round 4 – 3:45 PM; Round 5 – 5:00 PM

Entry Fee: $25 advance, $30 onsite

Membership Requirement: US Chess membership required

Equipment: Players must bring their own chess set and clock

Prize Fund: $500 based on 30 entries

Prizes: 1st $200, 2nd $100, 3rd $50, Top U2000 $50, Top U1600 $50, Top Female Player $50. Trophies to Top 3 Juniors.

Prize Notes: One prize per player (highest value). Prize fund adjusted proportionally if fewer than 30 players enter.

Additional Information: Located in a quiet private space in the Mall (Room B1). Tournament runs concurrently with a non-rated G/15 Arena event. $15 EF open play as part of the Chess Bus Mini Chess Festival.  USCF rules apply. Prizes determined by accumulated points by 3PM. A fun casual tournament for new players. 11AM Lecture with FM Boor (Co-Winner of 2025 Kings Island Open).
