A USCF Rated Tournament for Adults (entrants must be 18 as of January 1, 2024)

To be held:

Thursday evenings at the Chess Klub Ballantyne 

Suite 101 - 14045 Ballantyne Corporate Place - Charlotte, NC  28277

 

3 Sections: 

Open, U1900 and U1500

 

Round Times:

7:30 PM - 1 round per evening, all Thursdays in a month constitute a complete tournament

 

Time Control:

Game 75 with a 5 second delay

 

Entry Fee - Pay Monthly or Weekly

 

Monthly:

$25 for Non-Members

$15 for Chess Klub Ballantyne Members*

*Lifetime membership in the Chess Klub is $100 - $50 if purchased for this event

Weekly:

$8 for Non-Members

$5 for Members

 

 

*All prizes are based on 20 entrants in the section and will be reduced proportionally if attendance is lower than 20

 

Missed Weeks:

Players may receive half point bye except in last week of the month

 

Tiebreaks:

In the event of a tie, cash prizes will be split among tied scores
