The Chess Cardinals Monday Knights Tournament

Tournament Dates:

• Runs throughout APRIL 2024.
• Weekly rounds every Monday night (5 total rounds).
• Specific dates: April 1st, April 8th, April 15th, April 22nd and April 29th

Eligibility:

• Open to adults (any rating) and scholastic players (USCF rating above 1000).
• Players not meeting the criteria may be allowed with tournament director's discretion (as "wild-card entries").

Schedule and Logistics:

• Rounds start at 7:00 PM CST.
• On-site registration starts at 6:45 PM CST.
• Flat $10 entry fee for the entire month (paid/registered once a month).

• Time control: G/60; d5 (Game in 60 minutes, with a 5-second increment after each move)
• Sets and clocks provided.
• Notation (recording your moves) is mandatory.
• Please inform the organizers each week if you can or cannot attend a round (helps with pairing on time).

Prizes:

• Sole 1st place winner receives free entry to the next month's tournament (If there is a shared 1st place: 50% off next month).

Directions:

• Parking: Recommended in front of the Cheesecake Factory.
• Entrance: Ground floor via elevator or escalator.
• Location: Past the last Pickleball Court, on the left side (look for the Chess Cardinals banner).
• Restrooms: Ground floor near the Tabla Restaurant.
