CHECKMATE CANCER 2026 - OPEN

Kid City USA - Westfield, IN

Event Overview

The American Cancer Society Club at Carmel High School is proud to present Checkmate Cancer 2026, a charity chess event dedicated to supporting the fight against cancer. The event will feature a GM Sam Khanin simul on July 16 and a scholastic, open, and unrated tournaments on July 18. 100% of event proceeds will be donated directly to the American Cancer Society to support cancer research, patient services, advocacy efforts, and programs that improve the lives of those affected by cancer. Participants are encouraged to make an additional donation beyond their entry fee, and community members who are not playing are also welcome to contribute. We are actively seeking sponsorships from Indiana businesses and donations from individuals who would like to support this cause. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps advance the fight against cancer and brings us one step closer to a world without it. Join us for a weekend of chess, community, and impact as we work together to Checkmate Cancer.
