Event Overview
Rated Scholastic is 4 round tournament for players in grades K-8 and rated under 1500. This event is also suitable for players who are unrated and wish to establish a US Chess rating. There are three sections: Under 1500, Under 1000, Under 500/Unrated.
This event is a qualifier for the Tournament of Champions, an invitation only event to be held in late Spring of 2025. Players who score 2.5/4 or higher qualify to participate in the TOC.
REQUIREMENTS
- Must be in grades K-8 (ages 13 and below)
- All players must have a valid US Chess membership

TIME CONTROL
G/20; increment 10
Each player receives 20 minutes plus a 10 second increment to complete the game.
ROUND TIMES
Round 1: 10:00am
Round 2: 11:00am
Round 3: 12:30pm
Round 4: 1:30pm
Approximate end time/awards: 2:45pm

TOC QUALIFIER
