Rapid
The CCC Rapid - South is a 5-round tournament rated by both US Chess and FIDE, offering a $400 prize fund. Participants can extend their experience by entering the CCC Blitz - South immediately following the rapid event for a full day of fast-paced competition.

REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS
- Participants must be US Chess members.
- Limited to the first 62 to register.
- Online registration only.
- Registration for each event closes 15 minutes prior to round 1 if not already full.
RAPID SCHEDULE
- Registration closes 12:45pm.
- Rounds: 1:00pm, 1:40pm, 2:20pm, 3:00pm, 3:40pm
- Break between Rapid and Blitz: 4:15-5:00pm

- Time Control: G/10; inc/5
- 5 Games (Swiss, single rounds)
- 1 open section with class prizes
- Live US Chess Regular Ratings used for pairings and prizes
- TD may use US Chess Quick or FIDE Rapid ratings if higher
- US Chess Quick and FIDE Rapid Rated

Blitz
The CCC Blitz - South is a 9-round US Chess and FIDE rated blitz tournament, featuring a $600 prize fund. To make the most of your day, you can pair this tournament with the CCC Rapid - South held earlier in the afternoon for a complete day of fast chess.

The Charlotte Chess Center’s Main/South Location is conveniently located off of I-485 and Pineville-Matthews Road. CCC’s Main/South Branch serves both North Carolina and South Carolina. Regulars join in from Ballantyne, Pineville, SouthPark, Matthews, Mint Hill, Waxhaw, Weddington, Steele Creek, Fort Mill, Tega Cay, Rock Hill, Lake Wylie and South Charlotte.
