CCL Winter Northside Scholastic Chess

Chess boards, sets and clocks are provided.

Format: 4 Round Swiss, no elimination, 1 half-point bye allowed if declared before round 1. Games are USCF-rated for K-12 Open, K-12 U1200, K-12 U900, K-12 U600, K-6 U300 sections which require current US Chess membership. Games are not USCF rated in Nonrated sections which do not require US Chess membership.

Time Control: G45, d5 for K-12 Open & U1200 sections; G30, d5 for other sections. Round 1 starts at 10 am for ALL sections. Check out specific section’s schedule on site.

Sections: K-12 Open, K-12 U1200, K-12 U900, K-12 U600, K-6 U300, K-6 Nonrated, 7-12 Nonrated

Awards: Individual trophies for anyone scoring 2.5 out of 4 in each section. Top team plaques for all members in each section. Medals for all.

General Entry Fees: $40 by January 20, then $50 until January 23. Discounted entry fees applied to CCL active students.
