3-Day Schedule: G90;+30 sec (90 mins with 30 Secs increment)

Championship Section (1800+) – FIDE rated

- Players may pay $20 extra to play up if your peak rating is within 150 points for that section within the last year.
- GM/IM/FM play for free. Entry fee will not be deducted from prize fund if registered before Jan 18.
Byes:
- Only one half point bye allowed for any round except for the last round. Bye has to be requested before end of round 2.
- Zero-point bye/withdraw has to be requested before the section pairing is done.
Re-entry:
- Players playing 3-day schedule can reenter the 2-day schedule by paying $15 extra.
Withdrawals:
- Withdrawals can be requested 1 week before tournament start date. After that time NO REFUNDS/NO EXCEPTIONS. Please understand as the seats are limited to first 75 participants only. Any refunds will incur a $15 processing and transaction fee.
More Details:
- USCF rules for pairing and tie breaks. FIDE rules applied for tournament.
- No Spectators allowed in tournament area
- Internet enabled devices must be turned off completely during play (not just on silent) and must remain in the player’s bag or face up on the playing tables. Device may NOT be on the player’s person or leave the board with device during the games. Penalties up to or including loss of game and removal from the tournament for violations of this policy.
- Only FIDE approved devices are allowed for FIDE sections. USCF approved devices are allowed for USCF sections.
- Notation required for all sections. As per FIDE rule, you must make the move before the notation.
- Board and Clock are provided
- Only water (drinks) allowed at the chess board. All food must remain outside the playing room.
- Unrated players will be placed at TD’s discretion. Unrated players must disclose foreign and online ratings before the pairing is done. Failure to disclose playing history may result in forfeiture and withdrawal from the event.
- Default late forfeiture time is one hour. TD may extend this time at TD’s discretion.
