Open only to players who are in high school or under and are not current US Chess members.
Sections: One Section
FREE US Chess Youth Membership to all entrants. The entrant must not be a current US Chess member. Players who are former members may play.
COVID: Masks required per Illinois and Cook County orders.
Free Lunch: Free box lunch for all participants. A preference survey will go out before the event.
Entry Fee: $20 through 10/20, $30 through 10/22. No entries onsite
Tournament Check-in: 8:00 - 8:45; arrive and check yourself in on the pre-entry list.
Round Times: 1: 9:00, 2: 10:15, 3: 12:00, 4: 1:15

Free Parking.
Bring chess clocks, none provided. Please know how to set your clock for delay and how to add time to the clock in case of a time penalty. Print out instructions and carry them with you. Also, check YouTube for videos of your clock.
Limited Entries (anticipate 30)
All standard US Chess rules will apply. Players must record game scores (use chess notation) to the best of their ability.
