Capital City High School Chess Tournament

Come join us as we work to bring USCF rated chess to Capital City High School!

This tournament is open to ALL players, not just scholastic!

Tournament is limited to first 180 entries

Format: 4SS (4 round tournament with Swiss-style pairing) G/45;d5 (45 minutes for each player with a 5 second delay on each move) in four sections:

• K-5th Grade (all ratings)
• 6th-8th Grade (all ratings)
• 9th-12th Grade and adults: U1000/Unrated
• 9th-12th Grade and adults: Open

Schedule:

• 7:45-8:30a: Check in
• 9:00a: Round 1
• 10:45a: Round 2
• 1p: Round 3
• 2:45p: Round 4
• 4:30p (or 15 minutes after Round 4 games end): Awards

Entry: $10 per individual. All proceeds go toward CCHS Chess Club's equipment and future tournaments.

Prizes: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place medals will be awarded to individuals in all sections. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place trophies will be awarded to K-12 teams in all sections (combining the two 9-12 sections).
