With plenty of time to think, plan, and execute, this event is perfect for anyone looking to push their chess skills further and connect with Spokane’s growing chess community. This is also an excellent warm up for players preparing for the upcoming National Scholastic.

• Entry Fee: $25
• Sections: Open/U1500/U1000
• Prizes: $50 per section for first prize plus free entry to our next tournament!
• Requirements: Rated section requires a current USCF ID and chess notation. Bring a clock if available.
• Tiebreaks:  Modified Median | Solkoff | Cumulative

• Hosted at Grit Grounds Coffee where coffee and other beverages are available for purchase throughout the event
• The tournament takes place in an open public area, and some outside noise is expected
• Ear muffs and earplugs will be provided for players who prefer a quieter playing experience
• A competitive yet welcoming atmosphere, ideal for players who love both the game and the community around it
