4 round Swiss System

2 sections:  Open Section and Under 1700 Section

Prize Fund:  Open Section:  $150-100-50 Guaranteed ($300 Total Guaranteed)

Under 1700 Section:  $510 total b/20 entries in Under 1700 Section.

Registration and Entry Fee:

Register by Nov. 26 pay $30;

Register Nov. 27-Dec. 22 pay $35;

Register Dec. 23-29 pay $40;

Register Dec. 30-Jan. 5 (5pm) pay $45. 

After Jan. 5 pay $50. 

Onsite registration 8:30-9:30 morning of tournament; mandatory 1st round half point bye likely. 

Masters play for free; $30 deducted from prize.

USCF membership required. 

Time Control:  All sections G/45; delay 5.  Each player receives 45 minutes plus a 5 second delay to complete each game.

4 round Swiss System; Round Schedule:

1st Round 10am;

2nd Round Noon;

3rd Round 2:30pm;

4th Round 4:30pm

Optional half point bye allowed for any round declared before Round 2.

Eligibility:  For playing up in Open Section, the 100 point rule applies: minimum rating to enter Open section is 1600 (1599 or below are ineligible).

Cash prizes in Under 1700 Section based on 20 entries in U1700 :  $120-80-40; under 1400 prizes $100-50; under 1200 prizes $80-40

USCF Regular rating used for section eligibility, pairings, and prizes (January 2024 rating list).
