Hey chess enthusiasts! Get ready for an exciting day of strategy and competition at the DC State Chess Back to School Chess Champs, hosted by Be Empowered Clothing in partnership with the DC State Chess Federation!

 Date: Saturday, August 10th, 2024
 Time: Check-in from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM
 Location: Anne Beers Elementary School, 3600 Alabama Ave SE

Tournament Director: Miles Davis, our inspiring 16-year-old CEO of Be Empowered Clothing

Tournament Details:

• Format: 5 rounds | G/25 d5 for all sections
• Sections: K-1 Open, K-3 Open, K-6 Open, K-8 Open, and K-12 Open
• Awards:
  • Individual trophies for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each section
  • Team trophies for each section
  • Top female trophy for each section
