BayAreaChess x CalChess Open 1000+ State Rapid Championship

• You must log in or sign up before you can register.
• Online registration closes at 12:00 a.m. the day of the tournament.
• Onsite registration is subject to availability ($14 additional fee incurred).
• Late fees applied starting November 26 or when reaching capacity.

Schedule:

• CalChess Open 1000+ Rapid:
  • 5 rounds
  • Time Control: G/10 d2
  • Round Times: Sun, Nov. 30 - 6:30 p.m. to 8:55 p.m. (Rolling schedule)
    (Mandatory check-in by 6:15 p.m.)

Sections:

• Players will be placed into one of the following sections based on their November 2025 Published Supplement rating:
  • MXAB (1600+)
  • CDE (1000-1599)

Prizes:

• $1,000 b/53
  • Unrated winners: Max $100 (except in the top section)
• Ca$h prizes can be converted into BA€oins ($1 = 1 BA€oin, more info)
• A player who withdraws during the tournament is not eligible for prize money.
• Prizes will be paid out by check (mail), PayPal or Zelle.

• Late fees, starting:
  • Nov. 26: +$7
• Onsite fee: +$14
• BayAreaChess Membership discounts are NOT redeemable for late and onsite fees.

Withdrawals

• Withdrawals are eligible for a partial refund, subject to the following deductions:
  • until Nov. 25, 4% processing fee.
  • on Nov. 26 to Nov. 27, $7 withdrawal fee + 4% processing fee.
  • from Nov. 28 onward, NO REFUND will be issued.
• Only withdrawals made before or on Nov. 27 are eligible for refund.

Other requirements:

• USCF membership must be active.
