BayAreaChess Cash Day Swiss G/61 d5 @ Milpitas (Nov 15, 2025)

Compete for cash prizes in our Cash Day Swiss tournaments! Designed for adult and advanced youth players, these USCF-rated events feature four rounds of G/61 d5 games, offering a competitive environment with substantial prize funds. Players are grouped into sections based on their USCF ratings, ensuring balanced and challenging matchups.

• You must log in or sign up before you can register.
• Online registration closes at 12:00 a.m. the day of the tournament.
• Onsite registration is subject to availability (additional fee incurred).
• Late fees ($20) may be applied a day before tournament or when reaching capacity.

  • Time Control: 4x G/61 d5
  • Round Times: 9:30 a.m., 12:00 p.m., 2:30 p.m., 5:00 p.m.
• Byes:
  • ½-point byes are available for any round (maximum 2; byes must be requested at least 1 hour before that round's start except last round byes; last round bye must be requested latest before Round 3)
  • 0-point byes are available for any round (player must play at least half the rounds to be eligible for prizes)

Sections:

• Players will be placed into one of four sections based on their published USChess rating supplement.
• A player may pay to play up one higher section (300 rating range difference), double play up is NOT allowed.
• To play in the highest section, players' published USChess rating supplement must be within 200 rating range difference.
  (Note: The rating used to determine if a player may play up is their published USChess rating.)

Prizes:

• Prize Fund: $1,000 b/32 entries (More Info)
• Regular entry winners get full prize, Econ entry winners get 50% prize.
• Unrated winners: Max $60 (except in the top section)
• A player who withdraws during the tournament is NOT eligible for prize money.
• Prizes will be paid out by check (mail), PayPal or Zelle.
