• Online registration closes at 12:00 a.m. the day of the tournament.
• Onsite registration is subject to availability ($7 additional fee incurred).

• Scholastic Blitz u1000:
  • Time Control: G/3 d2
  • Rounds: 7-10
  • Sat, 8/30 - 4:30 p.m. ~ 8:30 p.m. (rolling schedule)
    (Note: Mandatory check-in by 4:15 p.m.)
• Blitz Championship 1000+:
  • Time Control: G/3 d2
  • Rounds: 7-10
  • Mon, 9/1 - 6:30 p.m. ~ 8:30 p.m. (rolling schedule)
    (Note: Mandatory check-in by 6:15 p.m.)

• Scholastic Blitz u1000:
  • 600-999
  • unr. & u600
• Blitz Championship 1000+:
  • MXA (1800+)
  • BC (1400-1799)
  • DE (1000-1399)
• Play up is NOT allowed.

Prizes

• Scholastic Blitz u1000:
  • 12 BA€oins per point.
  • A player who withdraws during the tournament is not eligible for BA€oins.
• Blitz Championship 1000+:
  • Prize fund: $1,000 b/53 (More info).
  • Unrated winners: Max $100 (except in the top section).
  • Ca$h prizes can be converted into BA€oins.
  • A player who withdraws during the tournament is not eligible for prize money.
  • Prizes will be paid out by check (mail), PayPal or Zelle.

Fees

• Entry fee:
  • Scholastic Blitz u1000: $33
  • Blitz Championship 1000+: $37
• Discount for BayAreaChess Membership Subscribers (More Info).
• BayAreaChess Membership discounts are NOT redeemable for onsite fee.

Withdrawals

• Withdrawals are eligible for a partial refund, with a $7 withdrawal fee.
• Only withdrawals made on or before 8/29 are eligible for refund.

Other requirements

• USCF membership must be active.
