K-12 Under 1200 Swiss Tournament

Our tournaments are open to K-12 students rated under 1200 from any school!

This tournament has three sections based on age and rating, and players will only play opponents in their section.

All sections begin at 9am, and they are all four rounds and non-elimination. The tournament will conclude between 12-1pm with an awards ceremony, in which the top three individuals and top team (min. two players from the same school, same section) in all three sections will win trophies.

• Games are 25 minutes with a 5 second delay, for players using a clock
• Clocks, sets, boards, score sheets and pencils provided
• Free WiFi
• Arrive and check-in by 8:45am at the latest. Announcements will begin promptly at 8:50, and round 1 will start at 9am

Sections:

Beginner, K-5 Under 350

For players in grades K-5 that are unrated or still getting acclimated to tournament play. Clocks and score sheets are optional. Live ratings used.

Intermediate, K-12 Under 700

For K-12 players with ratings 699 and below. Supplemental ratings used.

Advanced, K-12 Under 1200

For players in grades K-12 with ratings 1199 and under. Supplemental ratings used.

Fee: early-bird pricing is $40 until the Tuesday before the tournament, then $50
