- Four rounds. The first round begins promptly at 9 am. There are no scheduled round times. Rounds occur ASAP. The tournament should last about four hours, though it could finish earlier or slightly later.
- Four sections: K-12, K-8, K-5, and K-3
- Trophies will be awarded to the top three finishers in each section
- This tournament is open to all scholastic players, regardless of which state they are from
- Time control: Game in 25 minutes with a 5-second delay
- Entry fee: $35 by 8/23, $40 by 8/30, $45 by 9/5, $50 on the day of the tournament (registration closes at 8:30 am)
- Boards and pieces will be provided for all players
- This tournament is US Chess rated
