Back to School Battles In Eastvale!

Location - Eastvale Public Library. Address:  7447 Scholar Way, Eastvale, CA 92880. Ifyou turn left from the main gate, you should see the library.

Date/Time - August 19th, 2023. 10 am- 5pm.

Entry Fee - Completely free! Since this is our very first chess tournament, the entry fee will be free of any cost! All you need to have is a current(not expired) USCF membership and id since this will be a rated tournament. If not, no worries. You can register for one onsite. Tournament Details - This tournament will be conducted in 2 sections, unrated/u1000 and 1000+. We will be using McMahon pairings for this tournament to ensure that you get paired with opponents similar to your rating. 1000+ section will have 3 rounds at G45/d5.  The first round will start at 10 am and the tournament will end around 4:30 pm. Following this will be a USCF blitz tournament for free for all players. Unrated/u1000 section will have 3 double rounds, meaning 6 total games and 2 with the same opponent. Agenda of the Tournament - Since the tournament will start at 10 am, we ask all players to check in at the front desk by 9:45. The first round will be followed by a lunch break. The second round will start at 12:30 and the final round will start at 2:30. Please note we will have extra space for side blitz and even a USCF-rated blitz tournament after the main tournament is over! Please note that for each round the main section plays, the u1000 will play 2 games for a total of 6 games. 

What You Should Bring? - Players should bring a chess set with boards and pieces and a chess clock. If you have a scorebook, please bring it, however, we will have scoresheets available onsite.
