Two Tournaments - Same Day
Quick in the morning; blitz in the afternoon

Quick Quads Tournament

• $5 entry fee (cash only) and no cash prizes
• Check in 8:30am - 9:20am | First Round 9:30am | Other rounds ASAP
• G/15;d5 Quad format - sections of four, grouped by rating (quick or regular)
• Will affect quick rating only.
• US Chess membership is required to participate.
• Absolutely NO byes allowed.

Blitz Tournament

• $20 entry fee (cash only) with 50% returned as prizes
• 6-DOUBLE-ROUND, Swiss-System, G/3;+2;
• Registration from 12:00pm - 12:50pm | First Round 1:00pm | Other rounds ASAP | No ½ point byes
• Sections (if more than one) determined by participation.
• Will affect blitz rating only.
• US Chess membership is required to participate.

• Players arriving after 1:00pm will receive zero point byes for first pairing.

Clocks

Players should bring clocks if possible. We will have a few clocks but cannot guarantee availability. If neither player has a clock, the game (or games) will be scored as a double forfeit (zero points, but not rated).

See https://arlingtonchess.com/parking for parking options.  Please note that Arlington is bigger than New Orleans, Cleveland, Honolulu, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, and St Louis, so please plan for parking like you are downtown in a city. Arrive early to allow time to find parking.
