North Pole Public Library

Event Overview

Not going to the Super Nationals or Delegates meeting, but still want to travel and play some chess? Need to check Alaska off your 50 states bucket list? Head to North Pole, Alaska to the North Pole Public Library for four rounds of fun, USCF rated chess in a Swiss tournament! Setup of tables and registration begins at 11 AM, round 1 starts at 11:20 AM. There will be a 40 minute lunch break and three more rounds after. This is a free event, but there are no prizes either. This is an Alaska Chess Federation Grand Prix event, but you do not have to be an ACF member to play, though it is encouraged! This takes place during the Tanana Valley State Fair, so there are plenty of things for out of town-ers to do before and after the tournament as well!
