The City of Joy Life Enrichment Center is hosting the first Akron Free Scholastic Chess Tournament on Friday, July 5th! This event is FREE and open to students of all skill levels with a thorough understanding of the basic rules of chess!

3 SECTIONS by Grade: K-4, 5-8, 9-12
3 games, no elimination.
Trophies will be awarded to all players scoring 3 wins.
Chess medals to all participants!
Schedule: Doors open 9 AM, First round 10 AM sharp!
Estimated completion: 1:15 at the latest, most players done by noon.
Required Check in: 9-9:40 AM
