AoIG Chess Challenge Tournament

            USCF  dual  rated,   OPEN  to  players  of ALL ages and chess skills !

AoIG reserve the right to separate players into 2 sections: 12+ years old and 11 and under, if needed.

                       3 hours of educational and entertainment experience:  all-in-one

 

Tuesday, April 23th, 2024:  from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

5:15 p.m. -  Doors will open    

5:30 p.m. -  Chess Q&A: ask Chess Master a question

6:00 p.m. -  1st round will start, sharp!   

4 rounds Swiss - time control G15 + d15

USCF membership will be required: membership available on site.

Field is limited  (Check the registration list https://www.aoigs.com/chess-tournaments/ before leaving home, if your intention is to register on site)

 

TEAMS:  Any 2 or 3 players can form a team at the time of REGISTRATION via email. Teammates will NOT be paired to play each other, but combined USCF rating for BEST 2 players on a team could not be greater than 2000 to win trophies.

On a 3-player team, 2 best scores are counted. Bring in your relative, friend, or neighbor and increase your chances to win a trophy!

Prizes, CHESS merchandise and TROPHIES  for everybody in a WINNING CIRCLE:      2.5 points out of 4. Extra Trophies for top three TEAMs. Prizes will be given for the contribution to the Q&A session, and the best 1st board performance.

   EXTRA Money Prizes: $100(50-30-20) to top three – in the event of 30+ players;

                   TOTAL projected tournament’s Prize Pool is over  $500 !

  Entry fee:

Electronically $35.04 before April 9th , after  $40.04 ($45 at the door) - 100% refund                 if canceled by phone before 9:00 a.m. on a tournament day.
