Open to players rated 400 and above only

2. U600 (USCF-rated)

3. Development (Unrated)

Ideal for beginners; USCF membership not required

Eligibility is based on the August USCF rating

TIME CONTROL

Quad: 3 rounds* - G/45, d5

U600: 5 rounds - G/25, d5

Development: 5 rounds - G/15, d5

*If the highest-rated player in the Quad is under 900, there will be 4 rounds.

Round 4 (rated) will be played between 1st vs. 2nd and 3rd vs. 4th.

ENTRY FEE

FREE for players rated 1600+ | HALF PRICE for adult players
$50 by 8/27 | $55 (8/28–9/3) | $60 (9/5–11:59pm 9/6) | $65 on-site

PRIZE

Quad: $50 to 1st place in each quad (Round 4 result, if any, does not count toward prize).

U600 & Development: Trophies for top 3; Medals for 2.5+ points

SCHEDULE (Start Time)

Quad: 12:00pm/2:15pm/4:15pm (~ +/- 30 minutes)

U600: 12:15pm/1:15pm/2:15pm/3:15pm/4:00pm (~ +/- 30 minutes)

Development: 1:00pm/1:40pm/2:20pm/3:00pm/3:40pm (~ +/- 30 minutes)

Cancellation: $15 fee by 8/26 for credit only. Section change: $10 after registration

Onsite registration: Opens 15 minutes before and closes 5 minutes before round 1

Check-in required: Please arrive 10 minutes early or your seat may be forfeited

Equipment Provided: Chess sets, boards, clocks and notation sheets
