Event Overview

The Waldorf Chess Club is proud to host the 4th Annual Black Knights Chess Championship.  The Black Knights have a rich history as a Chess Team and Club that originated in 1976 to support the growth of African American chess players in the District of Columbia.  The Black Knights are currently made up of a diverse community of members throughout the DC, Maryland, and Virginia areas (DMV).

This tournament is a SWISS style event and is open to all USCF players with cash prizes based on 25 entrees.

WHERE: 2932 MATTAWOMAN BEANTOWN ROAD, Waldorf MD 20601

REGISTRATION: 8:30 AM – 9:45 AM

USCF Time Control: G45 – no delay, no increment

Round Times:  5 Rounds:  10AM - 12PM - 2PM - 4PM - 6 PM

On-line Entry Fee (EF): $35, On the day of tournament EF at the site $45

Cash prizes for all players:   1st $200, 2nd: 100, 3rd 75  Top Und 1600: 1st $100, 2nd $40
