A 5 round Swiss System, G/90 + 10.
Entry Fee:
$40 before 10/4; $45 before 10/11; $50 on site
Prizes:
1st place: $300;
Class A (1800—1999): $150;
Class B (1600—1799), $150:
Class C (1400—1599), $150;
Class D (1200—1399), $100;
Class E & Below, (1199 & below); $100

Casual Players Section
Do you have a family member who is not a US Chess member but wants to try out a tournament? THIS is the section for them!
A great first tournament! This is a five-round tournament (Swiss System), where players are not eliminated. Time control is 30 minutes per player with 10 seconds added per move.

USChess memberships for the top finisher. Entry Fee: $5. Only first time USChess members are eligible for the prize. Equipment prizes for the top 3 finishers.

- USChess rules used for all sections
- During play, electronic devices must be off and not on your person.
- Notation required in rated section, optional in non-rated section.
- You are required to use the provided score sheets. You can transcribe your game to your score book later if you choose.
- No eating at the board
- Rated section gets priority on clocks
- One half point bye is available in rounds 1—4 and must be requested before the start of round 2 (rule 22C3).
