3rd Annual Tomorrow Fund Charity Chess Tournament

100% of proceeds collected from this tournament will go to the Tomorrow Fund which helps families of children who have cancer. Please consider donating even if you cannot attend.
Tournament Location: Bryant University (NEW) AIC Building, 1150 Douglas Pike, Smithfield, RI 02917
Format: 4SS, G/30; d5 – 4 Rounds. 30 minutes each, 5 second delay. Round 1 starts around 10:00 AM.

* OPEN = Special Championship Trophies for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place, Medals
* U1600 = Special Championship Trophies for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place, Medals

* U800 = Special Championship Trophies for 1st, 2nd, 3rd Place, Medals
* UNRATED (Fun Games) No USCF = Trophy for 1st, Medals for 2nd & 3rd

Open & U1600 Sections = $35 in advance
U1200 & U800 = $30 in advance
Unrated Section = $25 in advance
Rated Sections must have USCF membership. USCF Not Required in Unrated Section
Late Entry the Day of the Event $5 more – You may get a 1/2 pt. Bye in Round 1

* R.I. chess player Wayne Powers’ daughter survived leukemia and received encouragement & support from the “Tomorrow Fund.”
The OSCA community would like to give back to them and other families who are currently experiencing the same hardship.
* Tournament in the new $32 Million “AIC” Building = Academic Innovation Center Rooms 130/131
* Round 1 will start at 10:00 AM, will run continuously
* The 2026 “Neil Fachon” Outstanding Sportsmanship & Leadership Award will be given to RI Player
* Chess sets provided, please bring a clock if you have one
* Byes must be requested in advance.
* Late entries paired if possible or get 1/2 point bye.
* Players can always play “up” in a higher section.
* OSCA reserves the right to combine or split sections
* If you cannot attend, please consider a small donation for the cause
