Sunday, December 6, 2026, 1:00 PM to 6:30 PM ET. 6-round Swiss, G/15 with 5-second delay, Quick rated only (not Regular rated). Sections: K-12 Open (all grades, all ratings welcome); K-6 Under 1000 (rated under USCF 1000 or unrated); K-5 Under 500 (rated under USCF 500 or unrated). Entry fee: $45 early by November 28, $55 after. Registration closes December 5 at midnight. Online registration only; no onsite registration. Check-in: 12:30 to 12:50 PM. Round 1 starts at 1:00 PM; players who do not check in by 12:50 PM receive a Round 1 bye. Round times: 1:00, 1:45, 2:30, 3:15, 4:00, 4:45 PM; awards ceremony at 5:30 PM. Two half-point byes allowed. Prizes: K-12 Open 1st $100, 2nd $75, 3rd $50, Top Under 1300 trophy, Top Under 900 trophy. K-6 Under 1000 and K-5 Under 500: 1st/2nd/3rd trophies, medal for 3 or more points. Team awards: 1st and 2nd school team trophies (top 5 players' scores from the same school). Open to all K-12 students. A USChess ID is required to register. Boards, pieces, and scoresheets provided; players should bring a chess clock. Parents' waiting area in the Auditorium; plenty of street parking.
