3rd Annual Lancer Chess Classic

Online registration cutoff: Online registration will close at 9:00 PM on February 7, 2026.

On-site registration cutoff: On-site registration will close at 8:45 AM on February 8, 2026 to allow time for entries to be processed prior to the tournament.

Format: US Chess–rated scholastic tournament (K–12). US Chess membership required for participation in rated sections. An additional unrated Friends & Family section is offered.

Time control: G/25 with a 5-second delay per move.

Start time: Tournament will start at 9:00 AM sharp — please come on time. Other rounds will start ASAP.

Entry fee: $30 for all US Chess–rated sections. Friends & Family (unrated): $20 online.

On-site registration: Available from 8:00 AM to 8:45 AM. On-site entry fee is $40 for rated sections and $30 for Friends & Family (cash only).

Prizes: Top 3 players in each section will win a trophy.

Sections: U800, U1600, Open (K–12 scholastic, US Chess rated), and Friends & Family (unrated, open to all ages).

Safety: No food allowed in the playing area.
