3rd Annual Charity Chess Tournament

LOCATION: Rachel Carson Middle School, 13618 McLearen Rd. Herndon, VA 20171

TIME CONTROL: 25 minutes, 5 second delay

SCHEDULE: Opening ceremony from 8:45-9AM. Round times are at 9 AM, 10:30 AM, 12:30 PM, and 2 PM. Awards given as soon as section finishes. Blitz (optional) starts from 3:50 PM.

TROPHIES: Awarded to the top five players in each section. In the event that two or more players tie first with 4/4 points, a blitz playoff (5 minutes, no delay) will decide the place trophy they receive.

ENTRY FEE: $30 per player

USCF Membership: Required for rated sections only (Open, U1600, U1000)

CHARITY: All the event proceeds will be donated to Children’s Miracle Network in support of recovering children hospital patients.

CHESS SETS & CLOCKS: Please bring your own chess sets & clocks. We have a limited amount of extra sets to provide.

EVERYONE IS WELCOME! People of all ages, backgrounds, and chess skill level are welcome to play. The only real requirement is to enter and to know the rules!
