U2300 through U1300 Sections, May 24-27 or 25-27: 7SS, 40/80, SD/30, d30 (3-day option, rds 1-2 G/60 d10).  Top  3 sections are FIDE rated. Westin Chicago North Shore Hotel, 601 North Milwaukee Ave, Wheeling IL 60090 (from Chicago, I-294 north to US-45 north; from Milwaukee, I-94 east to Lake Cook Rd to US-45 south.) Free parking. $100,000 guaranteed prize fund. In 7 sections.

Open: Open to players who are rated 2300/over by USCF or 2000/over by FIDE, are foreign FIDE rated, or pay $500 extra. Prizes $10000-5000-2500-1300-1000-900-700-600-500-500, clear or tiebreak winner bonus $300, top FIDE Under 2400/Unr $2000-1000 -400. Under 2300: $5000-2500-1200-800-600-500-400-400-400-300. Under 2100: $5000-2500-1200-800-600-500-400-400-400-300. Under 1900: $5000-2500-1200-800-600-500-400-400-400-300. Under 1700: $5000-2500-1200-800-600-500-400-400-400-300. Under 1500: $4000-2000-1000-700-500-400-400-400-400-300. Under 1300: $3000-1500-1000-700-500-400-400-400-400-300, top Under 1100 (no unr) $1000-600-400. Cannot play below Online Regular Rating - 100 points. Prize limits: 1) If any post-event Regular OTB or Regular Online rating posted 5/23/23-5/23/24 or current Regular Online rating was more than 40 points over section maximum, prize limit $800. 2) Players with under 26 lifetime games rated as of May 2024 official list cannot win over $1000 in U1300, $1500 U1500, $2000 U1700, or $2500 U1900. 3) Unrated limits: U1300 $300, U1500 $400, U1700 $600, U1900 $800, U2100 $1200.  4) Balance of any limited prize goes to next player(s) in line. Mixed Doubles Bonus Prizes: best male/female combined 2-player team score: $2000-1000-500-400-300.  For Open Section, only rounds 1-7 counted towards mixed doubles. Team must average under 2200; may play in different sections; register (no extra fee) before both players begin round 2; teams including an unrated limited to $500 (other prize limits do not apply to Mixed Doubles).
