TOURNAMENT INFORMATION

• Four rounds: first round at 10 am, subsequent rounds occur as soon as possible.
• Five sections: K-12, K-8, K-5, K-3 and Premier
• Time control: Game in 30 minutes with a 5-second delay (US Chess regular and quick rated)
• Entry fee for K-12, K-8, K-5, K-3 sections: $55 by 03/02, $60 by 03/09, $65 by 03/16, $70 by 03/28 (on-site registration closes two hours before round 1)
• Entry fee for Premier section:                     $85 by 03/02, $85 by 03/09, $90 by 03/16, $95 by 03/28 (on-site registration closes two hours before round 1)
• Boards and pieces will be provided for all players, but we don’t have enough clocks for everyone (those who have clocks are welcome to bring them)
• This tournament is US Chess rated, so an active US Chess membership is required. If you don't have one or not sure what your ID# is, you can look it up here
• No electronics scoring devices are allowed.
• Parents should look after their kids before and after the games.

PRIZES

Cups and trophies for 1st through 5th in each section. 1st place in the other sections will each receive one-month free entry into a GMChessPrep.  Admission into some weekday course cannot be guaranteed due to limited seat availability.

For Premier section: Only Players with 1400+ rating will be allowed. $1545 prize fund based on 20 entries. 1st place $850, 2nd place $425, 3rd place $270.  $775 guaranteed in case if less than 20 participants. 1st place $425, 2nd place $215, 3rd place $135

          Note: For cups, trophies and prizes, ties will be broken using standard US Chess tiebreaks. In the event of a tie, the free course prize will be determined by tiebreaks. If multiple players get a perfect score, each of them will receive a free course entry.

VENUE INFORMATION/LOGISTICS

• PARKING: The Church has free parking. There are spots in front of the church.
• Free water will be provided for attendees.
• There is no scheduled lunch break, but there is almost always time for players to have food between games. There aren't any scheduled round times--rounds will occur as soon as possible.
