2nd Annual Benjamin Franklin Scholastic Championship

- Four rounds. The first round begins promptly at 9 am. There are no scheduled round times. Rounds occur ASAP. The tournament should last about four hours, though it could finish earlier or slightly later.

- Note: The Benjamin Franklin Open (3 days long with a 2-day option) is for both adults and children, whereas The Benjamin Franklin Open Scholastic Championship (1-day event) is only open to scholastic players
- It is possible for kids to play in both events since the scholastic does not conflict with the three-day schedule of the main tournament.

- Time control: Game in 25 minutes with a 5-second delay
- Entry fee: $39 by 5/17, $45 by 5/24, $50 by 5/31, $55 by 6/6, $60 on the day of the tournament (on-site registration closes 30 minutes before round 1)
- Boards and pieces will be provided for all players
- This tournament is US Chess rated
- PARKING INFORMATION: There is plenty of parking at the hotel.
- Note about last year's tournament: Last year's Benjamin Franklin Open took place in Langhorne, Pennsylvania (about 20 minutes away from this site), and we had over 100 participants! We hope to get even more this year!

Note: For trophies, ties will be broken using standard US Chess tiebreaks. In the event of a tie, the free camp prizes will be determined by tiebreaks. If multiple players get a perfect score, each of them will receive a free online camp entry.
*Note: The free online camp entry applies to our regular camps. Depending on availability, students may be permitted use the credit for the advance camp, but in that case they would need to pay the extra amount ($100).
