29th annual New York State Open and Senior Amateur.  5-SS, 40/80, SD/30; d30 (2-day option, rds. 1-2 G/60, d10). Tiki Resort, 2 Canada St., Lake George, NY 12845.  $3300 GUARANTEED PRIZES.  In 4 sections.  Open: $$ 400-200-150, top Under 2010/Unr $240-120, top Under 1810 $200-100.  Senior Amateur: open to under 1910 born before 6/22/75. $$ 300-150-100, top Under 1710/Unr $140-70.  Under 1610: $$ 240-120-70, Under 1410 $120-60.  Under 1210: $120-60-40, Plaques or medals to Top 3, Top U1000, U800, Unrated.  Unrateds allowed all sections, with prize limits of $150 in Under 1610 Section, $80 in Under 1210. Mixed Doubles: best male+female 2-player combined score among all sections: $200-100. Team must average under 2200; may play in different sections or schedules; register (no extra fee) by 2 pm Sat. Top 3 sections EF:  $88 online at chessaction.com by 6/18, $100 later until 1 hour before round 1 or at site. Under 1210 Section EF: all $20 less than top 3 sections.  Online entry $5 less to NYSCA members (dues $12/year with 2 issues Empire Chess, $20/year with 4 issues, may join with online entry).
