This event drew 170 players last year. It is a mega tournament and one you don't want to miss. Only the state championship is bigger from a north Florida perspective.

Qualifications: ONLY USChess members can play in rated events. USChess requires all players to have a valid USCF ID# to participate. Non-USCF members can purchase a membership or renew an expired one via this site during the registration process. 

About the discount code...It is only for enrolled Spring 2026 academy students. (misuse will carry a $10 additional charge). Note: This event is not FIDE rated. Leave that section blank.

TOURNAMENT INFO: Entry fee: $35.Five rounds G/25;d5 rated chess in four sections. Doors open at 8:00 am. Round 1 begins promptly at 9:00 am. All registration is online.  Four sections (K-2, K-5, K-8 & K-12) for individuals and teams minimum 2 players/same school and section

TEN trophies in each SECTION for INDIVIDUALS(40 awards) & 

FIVE TEAMS(20 awards) in each section (non-chess HOMESCHOOL CO-OPs eligible).  

More Awards: GRADE LEVEL Medals to "BEST IN JAX" Top 3 Metro Jax (Duval, Clay, St Johns, Nassau & Baker) players in K,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11&12 (36 awards). Commemorative event medals for non-award-winning participants. (all awards are subject to registration levels)
