Reserve early 973-267-7373 or 1- 800-HILTONS. See link on njscf.org. (Link opens Oct 1) Morris/Essex train to Morris Plains 1.5 miles—take Uber.  Open to 4-player teams with one optional alternate. Team average (4 highest ratings—2027 January Rating list used for ALL players —absolutely no exceptions) must be under 2200. Teams rated over 2000 average no more than 800 points between boards 3 and 4. No more than two GMs on a team. Online registration opens Dec 1st at www.njscf.org. Advance registration only—no on-site registration.  

EF: $300 online only by 1/10/27, ALL—$360 after. All teams, any changes at site or after entering —-$30 charge.  Refunds after 1/25/27, $100 surcharge. No refunds after 2/2/27. ENTRY MAXIMUM IS 330 TEAMS. Enter early! Online entries at official website www.njscf.org. Prizes: 1-5th Place teams, plaque and 4 digital clocks; Top Team (Denis Barry Award) U2100, 2000, 1900, 1800, 1700, 1600, 1500, 1400, 1300, 1200, 1000 each plaque and 4 Digital Clocks; Top college team (same school) 4 Digital Clocks & plaque; Top HS team (grades 9-12 same school), Top Middle School (grades 5-9 same school), Top Elementary School (grades K-6 same school), Top 2 Scholastic Teams (mixed schools okay) (Collins Award),  Mixed Doubles (2 males, 2 females-no alternates), Seniors (all players over age 50), Military, each plaque & 4 Digital Clocks to top team; Company Team (full time only same employer-non educational), Top Coaches (educational), Top team all female, Family (4 family members), State teams—CT, DE, MD, MA, NJ, NY (Benjamin Award), PA, VA, each plaque top team; Special Plaque: Top Future team, (all players under age 10), Top Military College, Top Parent/Child (2 pairs, one parent, one child), Best Player 1-4 and top alternate, All 6-0 scores each Digital clock. Biggest Individual upset each round, Engraved Cross pen; Entry fee refunded to team with Best “Chess related” name, Sunday night—-Best “Chess Related costumes or gimmick”—1st-gourmet dinner for four; 2nd—Gourmet dinner for 4.

HR: Parsippany Hilton. Chess rates expire 1/17/2027. Rates: $148 (single), $148 (double), $148 (Triple, Quad). 2nd hotel attached to Hilton: $148 per night (single), $148 (double), $148  (triple, Quad)—Hampton Inn—includes breakfast each day. Hotels sell out in December for doubles. Book and equipment stores are back!
