Open to women 16 years and older who reside in Texas; must be at least 16 as of Oct 24, 2026; current US Chess and Texas Chess Association memberships required. Join Texas Chess Association. Round times: Saturday 9:30am, 12:30pm, 3:30pm, 6:30pm; Sunday 10:00am, 1:00pm, 4:00pm. Awards ceremony after Round 7. Winner is crowned Texas State Women's Champion and qualifies for the Texas Women's Collegiate Superfinals. One 1/2-point bye available, must be declared before round 2; no last-round byes (zero-point byes only). Prizes $1600 based on 30 paid entries: 1st $800 (GUARANTEED) + Texas Women's Champion title & plaque, 2nd $500 + plaque, 3rd $300 + plaque.
