2026 Keystone Fall Scholastic Championship

Open to students in grades K–8, including first-time tournament players. Four-round, dual-rated US Chess Swiss tournament. Time control G/25; d5.

Planned sections:
K–3 U200 — Grades K–3, unrated or rated below 200
K–5 U400 — Grades K–5, rated 200–399
K–8 U700 — Grades K–8, rated 400–699
K–8 Championship — Grades K–8, rated 700+

Sections may be adjusted based on registration. Keystone Chess Academy and the Tournament Director will place players in the appropriate section based on grade, US Chess rating, and tournament experience.

Advance registration only. Maximum 120 players. Current US Chess membership required. Players who are not yet US Chess members may obtain their membership through Keystone Chess Academy during registration.

Entry fee: $45. Players needing a new or renewed US Chess youth membership may purchase tournament entry plus membership during registration.

Tournament play begins at 10:00 AM. Final check-in information and round details will be sent to registered families before the tournament.

Registration closes Thursday, November 12 at 11:59 PM, or earlier if the tournament reaches capacity. No on-site registration.

Individual and school team trophies will be awarded in each section.
