Sec/Rds/TC/Byes: High School (9-12), Middle School (6-8), Elementary School (K-5), Primary School (pK-3), pK-1, Grades 6-12 U1200, Grades K-6 U8004 Rounds Swiss, USCF and NE-rated; One ½ point bye Rounds 1-3. HS/MS/ES: G/45+10, 10 AM start; Others: G/30+10, 11 AM start; all ASAP. Prizes: HS: Trophy to Top 5, U1600; MS: Trophy to Top 5, U1400; ES: Trophy to Top 5, U1200; PS: Trophy to Top 5, U1000; Others: Trophy to Top 3, U800 and U600 in U1200, U500 and U300 in U800; Medals to non-placing participants. CT Champions: Top Connecticut player per open section receives State Champion trophy. (See flyer for definition of CT player.) Tie break: See event flyer for tiebreak on 1st place ties. Nationals: CT Champion and second in HS, MS, ES, PS receive Nominee and Alternate status to 2026 USCF National Invitationals. See Connecticut Nomination Rules. Entry Fee: Register online: $65 by 12/31; $75 by 1/6; $95 by 1/8; $115 by 1/10; $150 onsite by 12 PM, exact change cash only, Round 1 bye at organizer’s discretion. GM/IM free, titled 50% off by 1/6. Member/sibling/hardship discount available. Out-of-state: Other states welcome, but ineligible for state titles and Invitational nominations.
