Format:

4-SS: Open, Reserve (under 1501 or Unrated)
Chief TD for Open & Reserve Sections will be TD Tony Nichols

1 Half-Points Byes in all rounds but the final round. Must request before Round 3. Byes are requests to not play that round, do not select during registration if you wish to play all games.

USCF membership required. MCA membership required for Michigan residents.
Both memberships can be purchased on the tournament registration website. Purchasing USCF memberships during registration benefits the MCA.
July USCF Rating Supplement will be used for section eligibility, pairings, and prizes
 

Time Control:

Open/Reserve  G/90+30 (scorekeeping required for entire game)
Players in must arrive within 30 minutes after start time for round or be forfeited and possibly withdrawn from event.

Open/Reserve (8/16)  Rd 1:  10:00 am EST   Rd 2:  2:30 pm EST
Open/Reserve (8/17)   Rd 3:  10:00 am EST  Rd 2:  2:30 pm EST
 

Entry Fee:

Advanced Entries must be received and paid by Tues, Aug 12
Open: $30
Reserve: $25 

Free Entry to GM/IM/FM/2200+ when registering by 8/12, $30 EF deducted from prize.
Payment in advance by check made payable to MCA or by Credit Card/PayPal via PayPal. Be sure to specify schedule, and select correct entry fee!
