2025 Mississippi Individual Scholastic State Championship

A US Chess National Qualifying Event for the Denker Tournament of High
School Champions (9-12), the Barber Tournament of Champions (6-8), and the
Rockefeller Tournament of Elementary School State Champions (K-5). It will
also determine the Mississippi K-3 Champion.

The Swiss System tournament is divided into 8 Sections: K-1, 2-3, K-5 Championship, K-5 Reserve, 6-8 Championship, 6-8 Reserve, 9-12 Championship, and 9-12 Reserve.

4 Rounds no elimination

Games will be played at the time control game in 30 with a 15 second increment added to the players clock added after each move.

Schedule: 9:00 AM, 11:00 AM, 1:30 PM, 3:15 PM

2-day schedule for K-5 Championship, 6-8 Championship, 9-12 Championship

5 Rounds no elimination

The first two games will be played at the time control game in 60 with a 30 second increment to the players clock added after each move.  The last three rounds will be played at the time control game in 90 with a 30 second increment.
