The festive Pumpkin Festival is just around the corner, and the long-awaited Halloween Bughouse showdown is about to begin! Team up for thrilling challenges, endless surprises, and non-stop fun. Join us at KLC to celebrate an exciting and spooky Halloween!

Chess and Halloween fun combined—who can resist? With the Pumpkin Festival in full swing, the Halloween Bughouse battle is ready to kick off! This is a one-of-a-kind chess party, where you and your tactical partner can face challenges, uncover surprises, and enjoy unlimited fun. Don’t miss out—come to KLC Chess School for an unforgettable Halloween experience!

Event Requirement:
Wear your creative Halloween costume! We’ll choose the Best Costume, adding more "trick-or-chess" fun to the chessboard!

  1. Winning Team in Each Round: Each round’s winning team will spin the prize wheel for a chance to win awesome gifts!
  2. Top 3 Final Teams: The top 3 teams prizes
  3. All Participants: Every player will receive a surprise gift bag—no one goes home empty-handed!
  4. Best Costume Award: A special prize for the player with the most creative and festive costume.
  5. Youngest Team Award: A prize for the youngest team—the “Little Chess Champs”!

Date & Time: 
Friday, October 31, 2025
5:00 PM - 8:30 PM
Check-in: 5:00 PM-5:30 PM( team up/group photos) 
Pick-up: 8:30 PM

Event Requirement:
Wear your creative Halloween costume! We’ll choose the Best Costume, adding more "trick-or-chess" fun to the chessboard!

Team Formation: 
You can team up with a friend! If you don't have a partner, don't worry—we will assign teams randomly using our system. (Just sign up first)

Rounds: 
The number of rounds will depend on the schedule, but there will be at least 4 rounds.

Time Control:
G5+3 (each player has 5 minutes, with a 3-second increment per move).

Pairing:
Pairings will be based on the higher-rated player’s rating in each team.

Entry fee: $50/player
