2025 Fremont Scholastic Championship

2025 Fremont Scholastic (K-8) Championship,

the main event of 

Fremont Chess Festival on National Chess Day 2025

is open for registration. The event is completely FREE, made possible by generous sponsorship from Ava Community Energy.  

Time: 9:00am - 2:30pm, Saturday October 11th, 2025

Time Control: 4 rounds, Swiss, G/25;+5 

First round starts at 9am. All players should arrive 10 minutes prior to the first round. Next round starts after the last game finishes in your section (rolling schedule). There is no set break time for lunch, so please plan accordingly.

Rating: USCF Dual-Rated.

Players must have current US Chess Federation membership.

Capacity: Registration closes once we hit our maximum capacity of 70!

Sections: K-1, Grade 2-4, Grade 5-8
