Event Overview
Event & Schedule: 4 round open swiss for players age 50 and older (must be at least 50 years old on April 20, 2024). On-Site Registration: 4/20 – 9:00-9:45 am. Rounds: 10 am & 3 pm both days
Time Controls: G/90, 30 second increment.
Entry Fees: Entry Fees: $99 mailed & postmarked by 4/13/2024, $119 postmarked after 4/13/2024 and on-site. GMs and IMs free (entry fee deducted from any prize monies won). Online entries accepted at http://tinyurl.com/5x96hkau Make payment through Venmo to @jmc-chess or PayPal to sactochess@sbcglobal.net. Please include the name of the player with the payment.
Prizes: 1st Place: $650 & Trophy, 2nd Place: $450, 3rd Place: $300
1800-1999: 1st - $250; 1600-1799: 1st - $250; 1400-1599: 1st - $250; *1st U1400: $250
Trophies for top age 60+, 65+, and 70+. Prize fund based on 40 entries.

Other: Bring clocks!! Boards and sets provided!! USCF rated, April 2024 rating list. E-mail address required. ½ point byes available in any round. Late entries will be given a ½ point bye or paired against another late entry at the TD’s discretion. Round 4 byes must be requested prior to round 1 and can not be changed.
